Community Bridge

Mission

Community Bridge is a monthly spotlight initiative from Yes, And…eXercise! that connects people in the Parkinson’s community with powerful, often underutilized resources. Each month, Community Bridge highlights a trusted community partner through story-driven conversations and short-form media, linking real needs to meaningful support, individuals to services, and lived experiences to tools that help people with Parkinson’s and care partners thrive. By amplifying awareness, access, and collaboration, Community Bridge strengthens the connective tissue of the Parkinson’s ecosystem—because no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

The World Parkinson Congress (WPC) is a unique, inclusive international meeting held roughly every three years, bringing together thousands of researchers, clinicians, care partners, and people living with Parkinson's (PD) to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and advance care/cure efforts. The first WPC was held in 2006 in Washington, D.C.. The sixth and most recently completed WPC took place in Barcelona (2023). The seventh WPC will be in Phoenix from May 24-27, 2026. Its history shows growth in attendance and global reach, emphasizing a unified approach to understanding and fighting PD through shared experiences and cutting-edge science, with its distinct feature being the active involvement of the patient community.
